I like engineering that stays close to the hardware.

I'm Chenbo Lin, an Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at Newcastle University. My projects cover PCB design, circuit simulation, Python automation, machine learning, motor control and autonomous underwater vehicles.

I'm interested in systems that can measure what is happening, make a useful decision and act on it — without hiding their assumptions or limits.

How I approach a project.

Three habits that help me decide what to test and what to improve next.

Start with the real conditions

Before choosing a solution, I look at the users, materials, signals and limits that define the actual problem.

Show the uncertainty

Assumptions, limits and fallback paths should be visible enough for someone else to judge the result.

Make the next step clear

When an experiment ends, it should be clear what changed, what remains uncertain and what to try next.
